Time:2022-02-23

At 11:28, December 27, 2021, the Jiaxing 17MW BIPV project of Beijing Energy International was successfully connected to the grid for power generation. This project is located in Xiuzhou District, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. It adopts new BIPV photovoltaic modules, effectively increases the rooftop utilization area and reduces the rooftop load through innovative and integrated installation, with the total installed capacity of 17.73MW. It is the largest integrated rooftop PV project in east China, and the estimated annual average power generation is about 17.12 million kWh after grid connection.

As a science and technology project of SASAC, the overall structure of this project is light, stable and easy to maintain. It can replace the traditional industrial roof, offers excellent heat insulation and fire resistance, and installs intelligent inspection, monitoring and early warning system, which can realize unattended and digital control, greatly improve the project operation efficiency and reduce the operation cost.

Since the commencement of the project, it has overcome many challenges, such as immobility of people and various anti-Covid measures, the equipment supply lag caused by the price hikes of raw materials and power rationing and shutdown, actively adjusted the construction organization mode, and finally achieved full-capacity, grid-connected power generation based on the planned goal.

Jiaxing BIPV project is the first rooftop PV integration project of Beijing Energy International, and it is also an important exploration for the company to build a green, multi-functional, intelligent and collaborative clean energy industry ecosystem. It has played a leading role in increasing distributed energy focusing on the user side, accumulating the experience of combining efficient power generation with reliable building materials function application, innovating photovoltaic business model and enriching application scenarios.
