BJ ENERGY INTL and Zhengxiangbai Banner Government Signed the Industrial Investment Cooperation Framework Agreement of the “Green Power to Beijing” Base Project

On September 13, 2022, Beijing Energy Holding and Beijing Energy International were invited to participate in the event entitled “the Bond of a Hundred Enterprises of Beijing and Inner Mongolia” and the launching ceremony of industry pairing-up in 2022. On behalf of Beijing Energy International, Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Directors signed the Industrial Investment Cooperation Framework Agreement of Industrial Development Integration Base for the Photovoltaic Project of Sand Control for Ecological Restoration and Rural Revitalization (Green Power to Beijing) in Hunshandake Sandy Land of Zhengxiangbai Banner with the Banner Government in Inner Mongolia.




According to the agreement, Beijing Energy International will actively participate in the planning, design and preparatory work of the “Green Power to Beijing” base project, and it will invest, build and operate large-scale clean energy base projects under the leadership of local government. The company will capitalize on its complementary advantages, help Beijing and Inner Mongolia achieve the dual carbon goals. The planned total investment of the project is 99 billion yuan, including 10GW of clean energy development capacity such as photovoltaic, wind power, solar thermal and energy storage, with an investment of about 50 billion yuan.




During the ceremony, Sui Xiaofeng, Vice President of Beijing Energy Holding introduced the project of “Green Power to Beijing” base project of the company. He pointed out that under the background of accelerating the dual carbon goals, green energy cooperation has become a key part of cooperation between Beijing and Inner Mongolia, which can better integrate the green resources of Inner Mongolia with the market advantages of Beijing. As a wholly state-owned comprehensive energy enterprise in Beijing, Beijing Energy Holding is committed to ensuring the security and supply of electricity of the capital city and taking the cooperation between Beijing and Inner Mongolia as its own task. After the project is connected to the grid, about 20 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity can be transmitted to Beijing every year, which will promote the replacement of new energy sources in the capital and achieve carbon neutrality ahead of schedule. He said that the “Green Power to Beijing” base project, as a critical and effective carrier of bilateral cooperation, is the top priority of the company to enable Beijing to achieve carbon neutrality. The company warmly welcomes colleagues and friends to visit and discuss with it and establish long-term friendly and cooperative relations, so as to jointly make the project up and running as soon as possible.

The event is jointly organized by the Rural Revitalization Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the Beijing Municipal Support and Cooperation Office, aiming at deepening the all-round bilateral cooperation in many fields, aligning the demand between Inner Mongolia’s industrial chain and Beijing’s, promoting chain extension, supplement and prop-up, enhancing intensive agglomeration and development, helping Inner Mongolia consolidate and expand its poverty alleviation achievements in its rural revitalization.
