On July 16, Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Beijing Energy International, met in Beijing with Liu Zengqiang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Energy China CPECC Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Group (NWEPDI). The two sides held discussions on deepening cooperation in energy base projects.
During the meeting, both parties presented their respective development histories, business layouts, and core strengths. They engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as new energy project development and energy base project planning. Both companies acknowledged each other as industry leaders in their respective fields, with extensive experience, highly aligned industry perspectives, and strong business complementarity. Having established a solid foundation of mutual trust through previous cooperation on energy base project, they regard each other as key partners and see broad prospects for future collaboration. Going forward, both parties expressed their intention to enhance communication and cooperation in areas such as next-generation coal power upgrades, new energy, and advanced energy storage. They aim to accelerate technological breakthroughs in energy base projects, jointly create benchmark projects, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. Together, they seek to contribute to the early realization of China’s dual carbon goals.

From Beijing Energy International, participants included: Vice President Jia Geng and Vice President Wu Chaoke; He Kun, Executive Deputy Director of the Jilin-to-Beijing Power Transmission Project Preparatory Office; and Su Zhou, Executive Director of Beijing Energy International (Yangxi) Integrated Energy Company, Chairman of Gujing Energy, and Deputy Director of the Jilin-to-Beijing Power Transmission Project Preparatory Office.
