On June 7, 2021, Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Energy International Holdings Co., Ltd., went to Chengdu to visit Liang Wuhu, Deputy Director of the Development and Reform Commission of Sichuan Province and Director-general of the Energy Bureau of Sichuan Province. The two sides held talks. The meeting was also attended by Wang Yuan, Director of Electric Power Division and Wang Youcai, Director of New Energy Division of the Energy Bureau of Sichuan Province, and Vice President Huang Hui, Investment Director Zhao Li, Administration and Human Resources Director Jin Xin, and General Manager Lei Muchuan of Southwest Regional Company of Beijing Energy International.





Liang Wuhu welcomed Zhang Ping and his colleagues and introduced Sichuan’s energy planning during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. He said that to realize the national goals of emission peak and carbon neutrality, Sichuan will further optimize its energy structure, accelerate the development of clean energy industry, speed up the construction of a new electric power system focusing on new energy, promote the integrated development of source network and charge storage, and support Beijing Energy International in conducting large-scale development and construction of clean energy in Sichuan.

 

Zhang Ping said that as a pilot program of Beijing Energy’s state-owned enterprise reform, Beijing Energy International is gradually entering a stage of rapid and high-quality development. The company is actively participating in the pilot project of the competitive allocation of photovoltaic bases in Sichuan. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the company is willing to vigorously expand wind power, photovoltaic projects, distributed energy, energy Internet and other integrated energy businesses based on Sichuan’s rich resources. It will strive to contribute to China’s clean and low-carbon transition, help promote local economic development, and contribute to the realization of the goal of “emission peak and carbon neutrality” at an early date.
