On September 28, 2021, Zhu Jun, President of Beijing Energy International met with Zhou Xianjun, Deputy Secretary of Zhengxiangbaiqi Banner Party Committee of Inner Mongolia. Yang Song, General Manager of Energy Investment Department of Beijing Energy Holding Co., Ltd., Li Donglin, Executive Deputy Chief of the Banner, Zhou Yijun, Director of Development and Reform Commission, Liu Quanfu, Director of Statistics Bureau, Yang Lei, Director of Regional Economic and Cooperative Service Center, Wang Liuhu, Vice President of Beijing Energy International, Zhao Li, Investment Director, Liu Lei, General Manager of northern branch company of Beijing Energy International, and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.




Zhu Jun welcomed the delegation from Zhengxiangbaiqi Banner and introduced the company and its development plan. He said that the company would align itself with the national carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, and national rural revitalization and development strategy, leverage its advantages as a pilot SOE for mixed-ownership reform in Beijing and a red-chip company traded in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, which gave it a competitive market edge. He stressed that the company would take the opportunity of “Green Power for Beijing” project, and fully align itself with the new energy industrial plan of the Banner to boost local economic development.

Yang Song introduced the company and the power consumption and outbound power transmission of Beijing market during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. He said that Xilingol Prefecture (where the Banner is located) was a key investment area of Beijing Energy International, and the Banner’s “Green Power for Beijing” project had unique geographic and resource advantages, which fit Beijing’s efforts to attain the dual carbon goal by increasing green power in its energy mix. He also suggested that both sides should expedite the signing of the cooperation agreements between Beijing and Inner Mongolia governments before the project can be launched.


Zhou Xianjun thanked Beijing Energy International for its strong support in the new energy industry of the Banner and briefed the plan and vision of “Green Power for Beijing” project. He believed that Beijing Energy International was a key partner and hoped that the two sides could sign a strategic cooperation agreement as soon as possible to speed up the project and jointly make new breakthroughs in new energy. He said that the cooperation would help build a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system, cement the achievements in poverty alleviation and turbocharge rural revitalization and development.
