Time:2022-10-11

At 13: 40 on October 10, 2022, the first unit of the collector line 6 of Beijing Energy International’s 100MW photovoltaic power generation project in Aodu, Damaoqi, Inner Mongolia, was successfully connected to the grid. This project is the first grid-connected photovoltaic project independently developed by Beijing Energy International in Inner Mongolia, the first grid-connected new energy project in Baotou City in 2022, the first centralized photovoltaic grid-connected project since the “14th Five-Year Plan” period and the first guaranteed grid-connected power generation project in 2021 in Inner Mongolia. The grid-connected power generation of the project provides a strong support for consolidating the green energy supply foundation and the high-quality development of new energy industry in Damaoqi Banner.

The project is located in Damaoqi Banner, Baotou, Inner Mongolia, with a planned area of about 2,800 mu (1,866,480 sqm). The construction started on July 22, 2022, and it only took 90 days to achieve the planned goal ahead of schedule. After the project is put into operation, it is estimated that it can generate 160 million kilowatt-hours of electricity every year, save 66,000 tons of standard coal, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 180,000 tons. It will deliver remarkable economic and social benefits and makes a critical contribution to the early realization of the dual carbon goals in Inner Mongolia.
