On March 21, 2023, Beijing Energy International was invited to participate in the promotion event of industrial cooperation between Yunnan and Hong Kong. Zhu Jun, president of Beijing Energy International, signed an investment framework agreement with Li Ming, director of the Management Committee of Baoshan Industrial Park of Yunnan.

According to the agreement, the two sides will adhere to the principles of “green development, friendly consultation, mutual complementarity, mutual benefit and win-win outcome, open cooperation, compliance with laws and fairness” to jointly develop related projects in Baoshan Industrial Park. The company plans to invest and build a comprehensive energy project with a total installed capacity of 200 MW in the park, including distributed photovoltaic power generation, energy storage and new energy charging facilities. It is estimated that the total investment will be 100 million US dollars, and it will be implemented step by step according to local energy policies, land conditions, power grid access scheme and grid absorption status. After the completion of the project, the company will further engage in Baoshan’s industrial upgrading efforts, deliver regional social and economic benefits, and contribute to the early realization of local dual carbon goal.

The promotion event of industrial cooperation between Yunnan and Hong Kong is jointly sponsored by the Investment Promotion Bureau of Yunnan Provincial Government and the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, aiming at promoting the complementary advantages of Yunnan and Hong Kong and jointly building a critical hub for exploring the markets of countries along the “Belt and Road Initiative”. Wang Hao, vice governor of Yunnan, Wang Xun, director general of Investment Promotion Bureau, and Wang Qingmei, deputy director general of Investment Promotion Bureau; vice president Liu Dongsheng and vice president Jin Xin of Beijing Energy International, and Wang Xiaorui, director of Risk Control and Compliance, and other relevant personnel attended the event and the signing ceremony.
