On May 15, 2023, Beijing Energy International was invited to attend the Investment Promotion Meeting and the Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation Project Agreement (Wanyuan Session) of Dazhou City, Sichuan Province.

During the promotion meeting, Huang Hui, vice president of Beijing Energy International, delivered a speech as an entrepreneur representative. Huang Hui thanked Dazhou City and Wanyuan City for their sincere invitation. He said that the investment promotion event is a good platform to achieve win-win cooperation between local government and enterprises, which is of great significance for promoting industrial project landing and high-quality development of local economy. He pointed out that Wanyuan has abundant wind, solar and natural gas resources which are the key investment and development areas of Beijing Energy International. The company will fully capitalize on its own advantages as a responsible SOE selected for mixed-ownership reform, actively promote the investment in new energy projects, play an active role in revitalizing the rural area, boost the upgrading of local industrial structure, build an industrial chain for recycling urban resources, assist the two cities in building clean and efficient green low-carbon energy sector, and eventually enable them to become “zero-carbon” cities by further promoting local socioeconomic development.

During the collective signing ceremony, the company and Wanyuan Municipal Government signed the Cooperation Agreement on Low-carbon Energy City Project. According to the agreement, the company will fully use its advantages in investment, construction, technology, operation and management in new energy, and invest in the construction of low-carbon energy city projects such as wind and photovoltaic power generation, natural gas integrated energy, smart city and wind power manufacturing in Wanyuan.

The event hosted by Dazhou Municipal Government and undertaken by Wanyuan Municipal Government, aims to promote the optimization and upgrading of local industrial structure, which is critical for accelerating high-quality economic development. Yan Weidong, deputy party secretary and mayor of Dazhou Municipal Committee, Tang Zhikun, deputy mayor of Dazhou City, Zhang Le, secretary general of Dazhou Municipal Government, Ni Xin, party secretary of Wanyuan Municipal Committee, and heads of relevant departments; Tian Yongsheng, deputy general manager of Beijing Energy International’s Southwest Branch Company, Xue Chuan and other relevant personnel attended the signing ceremony.
