On September 14, 2023, the 15MW distributed photovoltaic project of Beijing Energy International’s Pinggu primary and secondary schools was registered.

The project is located in public primary and secondary schools in Pinggu District of Beijing, with a total of about 34 schools in the first phase, with a planned total installed capacity of 15MW. It can supply electricity for self-use, with the surplus connecting to power grid. After being put into production, it is estimated to produce about 16 million kWh of clean and green electricity every year, equivalent to saving about 4,800 tons of standard coal and reducing about 9,100 tons of carbon dioxide, which will contribute to energy transformation and economic development and realize the dual carbon goal in Beijing as soon as possible.
