On September 26, 2023, Zhang Ping, chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Energy International, met with Raad Al-Saady, vice chairman & managing director of ACWA Power in Beijing. The two sides exchanged on in-depth cooperation in jointly developing photovoltaic and wind power, hydrogen and ammonia production from wind and solar power, and signed a framework cooperation agreement.

At the meeting, Zhang Ping welcomed Raad Al-Saady and his delegation, and introduced the business development and future planning of Beijing Energy International. He said that Beijing Energy International and ACWA Power have enjoyed close ties and smooth communication and established friendly and mutually beneficial cooperative relations. It is hoped that the two sides will further deepen the communication mechanism and promote the implementation and landing of cooperation projects, continue to use their respective leading industrial advantages, expand the space for cooperation in new energy, green hydrogen, green ammonia and other fields, and jointly make more contributions to the sustainable development of the global economy and environment.

Raad Al-Saady introduced the overall business of ACWA Power. He said that the development concepts of the two sides in the field of green energy are highly aligned and the early cooperation is efficient. In the future, he hoped that the two sides will continue to capitalize on their respective advantages, cooperate from multiple dimensions such as product end, project end and service end, actively explore multi-field and diversified cooperation pathways, maintain a long-term strategic partnership in developing domestic and international green energy markets to achieve common development.

Finally, the two sides signed a strategic cooperation agreement, according to which the two sides will leverage their respective advantages, carry out all-round long-term strategic cooperation in the joint development of photovoltaic and wind power, and the integration of hydrogen and ammonia production from wind and solar energy, so as to create a win-win and sustainable strategic partnership.
