Time:2024-01-15

On January 13, Beijing Energy International’s Runlong 50MW decentralized wind power project in Horqin District, Tongliao, Inner Mongolia was connected to the grid for power generation. This is the first wind power project independently invested by the company in Tongliao. The on-grid power generation will provide strong support for the high-quality development of new energy industry in Tongliao.

The project is located in Qinghe Town, Horqin District, Inner Mongolia, and eight low-speed wind turbines with rated power of 6,250kW are installed. The height of the wheel hub is 110 meters and the diameter of the impeller is 191 meters. A new 66kV booster station, 35kV circuits with two outgoing feeders and 66kV circuits with one outgoing circuit will be installed to connect to the Tongliao’s power grid in eastern Inner Mongolia.

After the project is launched into operation, it is estimated to produce 152.786 million kWh of green electricity, equivalent to saving 45,800 tons of standard coal, reducing about 137,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions and about 14.5 tons of soot emissions. The remarkable economic and social benefits will contribute to the construction of a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient modern energy system in Inner Mongolia.
