Time:2024-01-16

On January 15, the 50MW agrophotovoltaic project in Orchid Base, Wengyuan County, Shaoguan, Guangdong was smoothly registered. This marks another achievement of the company in developing new energy projects in northern Guangdong around the strategy of energy structure transformation and rural revitalization, and in implementing the planning guidelines of Guangdong’s “One Hundred Counties, One Thousand Towns, and Ten Thousand Villages” Project.

The project is located in Wengyuan’s core area of Guangdong-Taiwan Cooperation Experimental Zone in Shaoguan, and is specifically distributed in various orchid gardens, with a total installed capacity of 50MW. The project adopts the scheme of scientific integration of photovoltaic power generation and agricultural facilities to help build a production and sight-seeing orchid base and a modern agricultural and commercial complex integrating nature, science and technology, planting, production and leisure. After putting into production, it is estimated to generate about 58 million kWh of green electricity, equivalent to saving 17,500 tons of standard coal and reducing 50,800 tons of carbon dioxide. It will play an active role in promoting the intelligence-based development of the county’s orchid industry and facilitating the transformation of green energy and industrial optimization and upgrading.
