Panda Green Energy Invited to Attend the UN “South-South Cooperation for Climate Action”

On September 19, 2017, the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly took place in New York. During the meeting, Panda Green was invited to participate in the “South-South Cooperation for Climate Action” conference at the United Nations (UN) Headquarters.

The Conference was co-organized by the Moroccan Government, the host country of the United Nations Climate Conference (COP22) in Marrakesh, the UN Office for South-South Cooperation, and the UNFCCC Secretariat. Representatives from countries around the world shared their practical experience and future vision for addressing climate change.


Dr. Li Jiewei, General Manager of Panda Green Energy Overseas Business Department, introduced that Panda Green Energy has been seeking to expand overseas business with “Panda Power Plant” as the carrier, and making green contributions to South-South Cooperation.


At the same time, Ada Li, an American high school student who first proposed the idea of “Panda Power Plant”, as the young representative for climate change, introduced her original intention of designing the Panda Power Plant and called on the whole society to pay more attention to the ability of young people to cope with climate change, and provide the young people with more chances to speak out..
