Under the agreement, both will conduct an all-round depth of cooperation in areas such as energy and infrastructure in the Philippines, and make the Panda Power Plant jointly built by the United Nations Development Program ("UNDP") and Panda Green Energy settle in the Philippines as soon as possible.


the “Belt and Road” Forum for International Cooperation held on 14th May in Beijing emphasized the new concept of green development, advocated green, low-carbon, circular and sustainable production and lifestyle, strengthened ecological and environmental protection cooperation, in order to build ecological civilization and realize sustainable development goals in 2030. “Belt and Road” initiative has received resonance from the world especially the countries along “Belt and Road”, not only because of its support of the "Wide Consultation, Joint Contribution, Mutual Sharing and Benefits" principle in line with international sustainable development trend, but also because the “Belt and Road” highly values the concept of green development in creating "Economic Humanities and Connectivity" era. 29 foreign leaders of states and governments and 3 principals of major international organizations including Secretary-General of the United Nations , as well as 1,500 guests from more than 130 countries attended the Forum.

As China's friendly neighborhood, the Philippines is an important partner of “Belt and Road” with abundant renewable energy resources along the “Belt and Road” routes. President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines has kept praising China for its “Belt and Road” initiative, which plays an important role in promoting international cooperation. The agreement between the Panda Green Energy and the Philippine enterprises will be the best “Belt and Road” green ecological cooperation model between China and the Philippines.


The Philippines has huge development potential in power infrastructure and renewable energy.
