On June 25, Huang Hui, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Beijing Energy International, met in Chengdu with Tang Hua, Chairman of Ganzi Energy Development Group (GEDG), Peng Jianjun, General Manager, and their delegation. The two sides exchanged views on deepening cooperation in the clean energy sector in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province.

During the meeting, the two sides held in-depth discussions on regional industrial project cooperation, new energy resource development, and relevant policy research in Ganzi. Both sides noted that Ganzi is advancing its vision of becoming an “Prefecture of Energy” by accelerating the development of a nationally important clean energy base with a planned installed capacity of over 100 GW. The prefecture has nearly 250 GW of developable clean energy resources. As a key state-owned enterprise of Ganzi, GEDG has established a strong presence in the clean energy sector, with business spanning hydropower, solar power and other renewable energy segments. It has also participated in major projects, including the integrated hydropower, wind and solar energy base in the Yalong River Basin. As a leading new energy enterprise, Beijing Energy International has extensive experience in project development and capital management.
Going forward, the two sides will further strengthen communication and coordination in clean energy project development and other areas, properly resolve legacy issues, explore new cooperation models, and fully leverage their respective strengths in resources, technology, management and market development to establish a closer strategic partnership and achieve mutual benefit and win-win development. Building on this meeting, both sides will actively support Ganzi’s clean energy development pattern centered on hydropower, complemented by wind and solar power, coordinated with energy storage, supported by the power grid, and underpinned by industrial chain development. Together, they will contribute to safeguarding national energy security and advancing China’s dual-carbon goals.
Director Ren Hui and Supervisor Deng Wenlin of the Finance and Capital Center of GEDG, Zhang Bo, General Manager of Zangneng Company of Beijing Energy International, and other relevant representatives attended the meeting.
