On September 8, Beijing Energy International’s Yangu 0.7 MW distributed solar PV project in Yukou Town, Pinggu District, Beijing, successfully completed project registration following review and approval by the Pinggu District Development and Reform Commission. The successful registration marks a solid step forward in the company’s efforts to support the optimization of Beijing’s energy mix and promote green and low-carbon development, injecting new momentum into the capital’s efforts to achieve its dual-carbon goals.

Located in Yukou Village, the project has a planned total installed capacity of 0.7 MW. It will operate under a “self-consumption with surplus electricity fed into the grid” model. Once operational, it is expected to generate approximately 700,000 kWh of clean electricity annually, equivalent to saving approximately 222 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 636 tons each year. The project will further contribute to the transformation of Beijing’s energy mix and accelerate the transition of the regional energy system toward cleaner and lower-carbon development.
