On October 22, Beijing Energy International’s 1.6 MW distributed rooftop solar PV project at Beiping Base in Shunyi District, Beijing, successfully completed the registration process, marking another milestone in the company’s new energy development efforts and injecting fresh momentum into the development of green, low-carbon industrial parks.

The project will utilize approximately 19,815 square meters of rooftop space to install a distributed solar PV power generation system with a total installed capacity of 1.6 MW. Operating under a “100% self-consumption” model, the project is expected to generate approximately 1.66 million kWh of electricity annually once operational. This will be equivalent to saving approximately 509 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 1,001 tons per year. By reducing the industrial park’s reliance on conventional energy sources and significantly lowering its carbon emissions, the project will deliver substantial environmental and energy-saving benefits.
The successful registration of the project represents a concrete step toward implementing Beijing’s development strategy. It will help safeguard the security of the capital’s green electricity supply, support Beijing’s carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, and provide fresh impetus for upgrading the capital’s energy mix and advancing its low-carbon transition.
