On August 25, 2021, the Daqing Green and Low-Carbon Circular Economy Industrial Cluster Construction Seminar was held at the Administrative Committee of Daqing National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. The seminar was attended by the Party Working Committee Secretary Wang Zhentao and Chief Engineer Zhang Xuejun of the Administrative Committee of Daqing National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, President Zhu Jun, Vice President Jia Geng, Deputy General Manager of Strategic Investment Department Peng Jin of Beijing Energy International Holdings Co., Ltd, General Manager He Kun of Northeast Regional Company of Beijing Energy International, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman Zou Shengping and Deputy General Manager Li Hualin of PowerChina Jiangxi Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd., Vice President Ren Fengnian of China Overseas Holdings Group, and Deputy General Managers Wu Haibin and Yang Jiang of China Overseas Holding Group (Xingrui Industrial).

The seminar introduced the overall planning of the “green and low-carbon circular economy industrial cluster”. The participants discussed the construction of three industrial demonstration projects, namely, the comprehensive use of carbon dioxide resources, green energy projects, and comprehensive utilization of fine chemical abraum salt resources; the establishment of industrialization support collaboration platform centering on technological innovation, equipment manufacturing, engineering design, and financial services, empowerment and promotion of the industrialization of green and low-carbon circular economy industrial cluster.

At last, the seminar decided that a consortium consisting of Beijing Energy International, PowerChina Jiangxi Electric Power Construction, and China Overseas Holdings Group should conduct in-depth discussions and plans for the construction of green energy projects, and submit the feasibility plan as soon as possible.

The Daqing green and low-carbon circular economy industrial cluster will aim to build a green and low-carbon circular industrial cluster demonstration area featuring high-quality development. Through the overall planning of the top-level design, strategic planning, and innovative technology industrialization allocation of Daqing’s industrial projects, the cluster will be guided by new development concept in focusing on the high-quality development of industrial innovation technology, element coordination among different industrial projects, and green, low-carbon and circular economy integration, so as to conduct the construction of Daqing green and low-carbon circular economy industrial cluster demonstration zone, and help Daqing’s petrochemical industry seize the initiative and stand at the forefront in the new round of energy technology innovation.
