On August 24, 2021, Beijing Energy International Holdings Co., Ltd. and Singapore Sembcorp Industries Ltd held talks in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on business and equity-level cooperation. The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Board Zhang Ping, Vice President Liu Dongsheng, and Investment Director Zhao Li of Beijing Energy International, and Senior Vice President for China Zeng Guangren and Senior Manager Dou Mengxia of Sembcorp Industries.
At the meeting, the two sides introduced their respective operating conditions and future development plans, and exchanged views on the converging interests of their business.
Zeng Guangren said that Sembcorp Industries has established a sustainable development path, attaches great importance to market expansion in China, and focuses on the development of high-efficiency, low-emission and renewable resource of power generation. His company is willing to cooperate with Beijing Energy International to give full play to the strengths in their respective areas so as to advance together along the path of clean and low-carbon energy development.
Zhang Ping extended a warm welcome to Zeng Guangren and his colleagues, spoke positively of the development strategy of Sembcorp Industries, and expressed his full confidence in the further cooperation between the two sides. He said that Beijing Energy International is committed to building itself into a first-class international clean energy ecological investment operator and speeding up the development of clean energy in accordance with the idea of “expanding scale, seeking regional and international development”. He expressed his hope to explore the content of cooperation with Sembcorp Industries to achieve win-win results.
Both sides agreed that they will strengthen mutual benefit and trust based on the implementation of specific projects, and promote further cooperation between the two sides at the strategic and equity levels.
