On August 12, Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Beijing Energy International, and his entourage visited Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, to meet with Liu Qingyong, President and Deputy Party Secretary of Harbin Electric Corporation (HEC). The two sides held discussions on deepening project cooperation. 

Liu Qingyong welcomed Zhang Ping and his entourage, and presented HEC’s development strategy, business performance, and core strengths. He noted that guided by national strategies, driven by reform and innovation, and committed to customer success, HEC has been continuously advancing industrial upgrading toward high-end, intelligent, and green development. In recent years, HEC has achieved significant results in reform and innovation, quality improvement, and service enhancement. With strong complementary advantages and a solid foundation for cooperation, he expressed the hope that the two sides would leverage their respective strengths, deepen cooperation and exchanges, and expand comprehensive collaboration in both traditional and clean energy sectors.

Zhang Ping expressed gratitude for HEC’s long-standing trust and support. He stated that Beijing Energy International regards Northeast China as a key region for clean energy development, and that the Power Transmission Project from the Northeast Songliao Clean Energy Base to North China has been formally included in the mid-term evaluation of the “14^th Five-Year Power Development Plan” and has now entered the substantive advancement stage. As a leading enterprise in China’s power equipment manufacturing industry, HEC enjoys significant geographical and technical advantages, has made remarkable achievements in the manufacturing of power generation equipment, and has extensive experience in EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) for power projects. It is an important strategic partner of Beijing Energy International. He looked forward to further strengthening cooperation, establishing alignment mechanism, enhancing overall planning and coordination, and elevating the partnership to a higher level.

Participants in the meeting included Gao Xuguang, General Manager of the Strategic Development Department and General Manager of the Investment Company of HEC; Zhang Jian, Deputy General Manager of the Marketing Department; Liu Zhizhuo, Deputy General Manager of the Investment Company; and Du Lianqing, Chief Technical Expert. Attending from Beijing Energy International were Jia Geng, Vice President; Zhang Pengyuan, General Manager of the Strategic Investment Department; He Kun, Executive Deputy Director of the Preparation Office for the Jilin-to-Beijing Power Transmission Project; and Li Xiangyang, General Manager of the Northeast Branch, among other relevant personnel.
