Recently, the expert review meeting of the feasibility study report of 200MW/400MWh shared energy storage project in Chengshan, Rongcheng, Weihai, Shandong Province, organized by Beijing Energy International was held in Beijing. Experts from China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute (EPPEI), State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Research Institute, Beijing Electric Power Economic and Technical Research Institute, FOREVER TECHNOLOGY, Jingneng Technology and other units, and Wang Qi, executive director of Beijing Jingneng International Integrated Smart Energy Company and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.

Participants listened to the presentation of the feasibility study design results of the project. It was agreed that the indicators of the Chengshan 200MW/400MWh shared energy storage project had reached the domestic advanced level, which was in line with the national energy development strategy. The implementation of this project can improve the flexibility of the energy system, effectively relieve the peak-shaving pressure of the power grid, and improve the quality of power supply and the safety of power grid operation. At the same time, the project is favorable for environmental protection, low consumption and cost-effectiveness, which can deliver social and economic benefits and contribute to the early attainment of the dual carbon goals.

At the meeting, the expert group believed that the project implementation plan was clear and the technical scheme was feasible, and put forward recommendations on the project construction, operation and maintenance, etc. The meeting finally adopted the evaluation opinions.
