On May 11, 2023, Zhu Jun, president of Beijing Energy International visited Rong Jiang, deputy general manager of PowerChina Zhongnan Engineering Corporation in Wuhan, Hubei Province. The two sides exchanged on in-depth cooperation in energy sector.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed about promoting the preliminary work of hydropower project of Zangneng Company in Linzhi Basin and agreed that the basin is the most important one in the southeast base of Tibet, which is abundant in resources. Going forward, the two sides will strengthen communication and cooperation, fully use their respective advantages in resources, accelerate the development of hydropower and promote the development of new energy in Tibetan areas to support the green and low-carbon transformation and development in Tibet.
