BJ ENERGY INTL and Shanghai Ruisi Real Estate Finance Research Institute Co-host the Power Sector Asset Securitization Seminar

On May 26, Beijing Energy International and Shanghai Ruisi Real Estate Finance Research Institute successfully co-hosted the “Power Sector Asset Securitization Seminar” in Beijing. The event was attended by Zhang Ping, Chairman of Beijing Energy International, Zhu Yuanwei, President of the institute, and representatives from over 30 relevant enterprises including originators, fund managers, specially invited asset owners, and professional market institutions. 




In his opening remarks, Zhang Ping welcomed all participants and shared the successful experience of the AVIC Jingneng Photovoltaic REIT, highlighting its positive impact in facilitating clean energy investment and financing while optimizing energy structure. Zhu Yuanwei emphasized that REITs are driving increasing diversification in power asset securitization methods, effectively supporting industry development, while underscoring the growing importance of sustained communication and exchange within the sector. Liu Dongsheng expressed gratitude for participants’ support during the seminar, stating his hope to gain insights through exchanges to support follow-on offerings, while looking forward to collaborating with all parties to advance clean energy REITs development.

During the experience-sharing and open discussion sessions, representatives from originators and fund managers shared their respective public REITs issuance experiences, with focused analysis on key challenges and practical insights from clean energy REITs projects. Participants also exchanged views on strategic development, financial arrangements, and asset valuation.

Representatives from clean energy companies yet to issue REITs discussed targeted topics related to energy enterprises’ investment and financing strategies and market outlook. These included the feasibility of issuing REITs for distributed photovoltaics, the integration of industrial parks with new energy, and the role of state-owned asset management platforms in supporting energy sector initiatives.

The seminar brought together a wide range of industry perspectives to delve into key issues surrounding the advancement of the clean energy sector. It served as an important platform for exchanging insights on the opportunities and challenges of power asset securitization through REITs, providing valuable support for the sector’s sustainable development.
