On June 26, Beijing Energy International successfully won the bid for a 2.1MW distributed photovoltaic (PV) project at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Tongzhou District, Beijing. This marks the company’s first PV project in the public health sector in the capital, representing another significant achievement in its efforts to support Beijing’s healthcare system with green energy, fulfill its responsibilities as a state-owned enterprise under Beijing Energy Holding, and promote high-quality development in the capital in the new era.
The project is located in Songzhuang Town, Tongzhou District, Beijing, with a planned installed capacity of 2.1MW. It will operate under a “self-consumption with surplus electricity fed into the grid” model. The project is expected to generate nearly 2.28 million kWh of clean electricity annually, which is equivalent to saving around 690 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 2,006 tons. It will further accelerate the capital’s energy transition and economic development, contributing to the high-quality growth of Beijing.
