On December 1, Beijing Energy International’s 1.7 MW distributed photovoltaic project in Shunyi Software Park, Beijing, passed the review of the Shunyi District Development and Reform Commission and was successfully registered, marking another significant step forward for the company in advancing green energy development in Beijing.

The project utilizes the rooftops of buildings within the Shunyi Software Park to construct a 1.7 MW distributed photovoltaic power station. It adopts the “self-consumption with surplus electricity fed into the grid” operation model. Upon commissioning, it is expected to generate nearly 1.8031 million kWh of clean and green electricity annually, equivalent to saving 649.1 tons of standard coal and reducing 1,797.7 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. This will further promote the optimization of the regional energy structure and contribute to the early realization of Beijing’s dual-carbon goals.
