On October 9, Beijing Energy International’s first user-side energy storage project, the 13.8 MW/27.6 MWh Lanjun Energy Storage Project in Jiashan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, successfully achieved full-capacity grid connection.

Located within the campus of the Yangtze River Delta Research Institute of Lanjun New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in the county, the project covers approximately 1,000 square meters. Its facilities include six 2.3 MW/4.6 MWh lithium iron phosphate battery containers, six integrated power conversion system (PCS) and step-up inverter containers, and prefabricated high- and low-voltage equipment units. The project is connected to the 10 kV busbar of Lanjun’s 110 kV substation through four 10 kV collector lines. The project adopts a “self-generation for self-consumption” model. Once operational, it will provide a reliable power supply. By discharging electricity from the energy storage system, the project will reduce the load on the campus transformers and enable dynamic increases in the site’s power capacity. This will help Lanjun New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. avoid the costs of transformer capacity expansion and retrofitting, generating long-term economic benefits for its business. The project will also make a significant contribution to local fiscal revenue, effectively ease pressure on the local power grid, and support sustainable regional economic development.
